NARENDRA MODI SWORN IN AS 15^TH  PRIME MINISTER

Narendra Modi was sworn in as 15^th  Prime Minister of the country. 46-member Union Council of Ministers including 23 with Cabinet rank, 10 Ministers of State with Independent Charge and 12 Ministers of State also took oath along with Mr. Modi. President Pranab Mukherjee administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr. Modi and his cabinet colleagues at a function in the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhawan this evening.

Dignitaries from politics, industry, cinema and religion, capped by leaders of SAARC nations including Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, watched Modi take the oath of office and secrecy in Hindi. Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse, Afghan President Hamid Karzai and Mauritius President Naveen Chandra Ramgoolam were the other foreign dignitaries present at the ceremony.
