MINISTER JAYANTI NATRAJAN RESIGNS
Jayanthi Natrajan has resigned from the Union
Cabinet as Environment and Forests Minister. She is reportedly to play a bigger
role in the Congress party ahead of general elections-2014.
A Rashtrapati Bhawan press communique issued in New Delhi on Saturday said,
President Pranab Mukherjee has accepted Natrajan's resignation as advised by
the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.
Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas M. Veerappa Moily has been given
additional charge of the Ministry of Environment and Forests.
